The Old Sodbury Scramble is a 5km cross country run, held on the grassy slopes of the Cotswold Escarpment on Sunday 1st March 2020.
The course starts with a lofty "scramble" behind Old Sodbury Primary School and finishes back in the school field after some breathtaking views.
It is open to male and female runners aged 16 and over. There are toilets and bag storage available.
Prizes will be awarded for first male and female, with a medal for all runners. Results will be online later in the day
The event is run by the Friends of Old Sodbury School Association, who are a Registered Charity number:1074572
All money raised goes to help the children at Old Sodbury Primary School
Places are £10 and we are limited to 150 runners, so please click here and enter online early to avoid disappointment.
Each participant will receive a finisher's medal.
Registration is open from 8.30am on the day, where you can collect your numbers.
The run starts at 10am, and once over the finish line there will be tea, coffee and lashings of fresh cakes available before the prizes are presented.
After an initial scramble, hence the name, runners can settle down to enjoy the view and a couple of easy kilometers down the Cotswold Escarpment, please do mind your step!
Inevitably, after the turn for home, there is the climb back and maybe an opportunity to pause for a second after another scramble to take in the view from St. Johns Church.
We won't be stopping the clock though, and a few fellow runners may skip by with just over 2km of lush green fields and the odd kissing gate remaining.
The route finishes back in the Old Sodbury School playing field, where there are refreshments and maybe a slice of cake or two.
Collect your race number and use the bag drop off.
Pre-run briefing at the start line.
